The Sims 2: Double Deluxe is the third compilation of The Sims two released in 2008, which contains The Sims ii base of operations game, The Sims ii: Nightlife and Celebration Stuff. A DVD is also featured in some of the boxes, there is a version that comes with the iii games, and a version that comes with a bonus DVD. The bonus DVD provides tips and tricks on how to play the game and shows interviews with the makers.

The Sims 2: Academy Life Collection includes The Sims ii: University, The Sims 2: Teen Style Stuff and The Sims ii: IKEA Dwelling Stuff. A PC version was appear on TheSims2.com website on July 8, 2009, and released in North America on August 24, 2009. Although some promotional images suggested that it was available for Mac, this version has not been released still.
Many players became frustrated that the collection came with Teen Way Stuff because the new college students could not use these new items. There were rumors and speculation that a new, bona fide version of University Life Collection would be released in late 2010, with a new stuff pack for Young Adults included, simply that did not happen.
